1988 NBA Kenner Starting Lineup

The inaugural NBA Basketball release of Kenner Starting Lineup comprised of 85 different basketball sports action figures.

Not all figures were available in equal numbers though. Some were also available as regional exclusives as well, which explains why cards like John Stockton and Karl Malone can be comparable in value to Michael Jordan. The Jazz figures were among those that were regional exclusives. Today, that might not be as big a deal thanks to the Internet, but back in the 1980s things were vastly different.

The cards included in the 1988-89 are exclusive to the Starting Lineup figures. The 1988-89 Basketball checklist (like Fleer's card release) is a solid one. In addition to an early Michael Jordan, there are notable Rookie Cards (RC) of John Stockton, Scottie Pippen, Reggie Miller, Dennis Rodman and more!
